The TSURUMI BEND 100-100 is a free-standing installation accessory for Tsurumi cast-iron sewage pumps in the B, BZ and C series. Tsurumi calls it a Bend Set, and the global and Australian catalogues list it as BEND 100-100F. It consists of a discharge bend and a threaded outlet flange, taking the 100 mm pump-side connection to a 100 mm (4-inch) outlet. It is an installation fitting, not a pump, so it has no head, flow or power rating of its own.
According to Tsurumi, several 100 mm models are supplied without the discharge bend and pump stand, so the accessories must be chosen to suit the installation method. Free-standing installation uses a discharge bend (plus a stand set on most models). Fixed guide-rail installation uses a TOS set instead.
Selection note: the BEND 100-100 has a 100 mm pump-side connection and fits only the 5.5 kW and larger 100 mm models listed below. The lower-powered 100 mm models, 100B42.2, 100B43.7, 100B43.7H, 100C42.2 and 100C43.7, officially take the BEND 80-100 with an 80 mm pump-side connection. For a fixed guide-rail installation, the 100B45.5, 100B47.5, 100BZ and 100C models listed can use the TOS3-100-100 guide rail fitting (100B411 to 100B422 officially use the TOS-100F).
Applications
- Free-standing installation: the pump stands directly on the floor of the sump, pit or tank, and the 90° bend turns the discharge so it can be connected to the site discharge pipe.
- No guide-rail base needed: unlike a TOS guide rail fitting, free-standing installation does not require a duckfoot bend and guide pipes to be fixed in the sump first.
- Replacement: a replacement discharge bend for an existing free-standing installation.

Installation notes
- Isolate and lock off the pump power supply before fitting or changing the bend or stand.
- Fit a suitable gasket at the pump-side square flange and tighten the bolts evenly to prevent leaks.
- The outlet flange or thread must match the site pipework standard exactly. JIS 10K, ANSI 150 and BSP are not interchangeable, and neither are NPT and BSP/Rc threads; a mismatched joint can leak or fail under pressure.
- On models that officially require a stand set, fit the stand set before running the pump free-standing. Without it, the inlet can be starved or the pump can sink into silt.
- Stand the pump on a firm, level surface. Lift it by its lifting eye with a chain or shackle, and never by the power cable.
- Entering a sump or wet well is confined-space work and requires gas testing and the appropriate permits.
