The TSURUMI BEND 80 is Tsurumi's genuine discharge bend set (officially a "Bend Set") for free-standing installation of the 80 mm cast-iron sewage pumps 80B21.5, 80C21.5 and 80U21.5. It has a square flange on the pump side, turns the discharge through 90° and ends in a threaded oval flange for connecting the discharge pipe or hose. It is an installation accessory, not a pump, so it has no head, flow or power rating.
Selection note: the BEND 80 (listed as "BEND 80 (oval)" in Tsurumi's selection tables) fits only the three 1.5 kW models above. Other 80 mm models, namely 80B411–80B422, 80BZ41.5, 80C22.2-CR to 80C211-CR, 80U22.2 and 80U23.7, take the BEND 80-80 instead. For guide-rail installation of the 80B21.5 or 80C21.5, choose the TOS3-80-80 guide rail fitting rather than a discharge bend.
What it is for
- Free-standing installation: Tsurumi states that the 80B21.5, 80C21.5 and 80U21.5 are supplied without the discharge bend, and that the accessory must be selected for the type of installation. For free-standing use, that accessory is the BEND 80.
- Redirecting the discharge: the 90° bend turns the pump outlet so the discharge pipe or hose can be connected cleanly.
- Replacement part: a genuine replacement when an existing BEND 80 or its threaded flange is damaged.

The official tables do not call for a separate Stand Set when these models are installed free-standing with the BEND 80. The BEND 80 does not fit every 80 mm Tsurumi pump, so check your pump model before ordering.

Outlet connections vary by market. In Tsurumi's Asia-Pacific range the BEND 80 has a threaded oval flange and the other sizes have a threaded JIS 10kg/cm² flange; UK versions use female BSP threads and US versions use ANSI or NPT. Each listing's own page states its connection, so please confirm it before ordering.
Installation notes
- Isolate and lock off the pump's power supply before fitting or removing the bend.
- Lift the pump by its handle or lifting eye. Never lift it by the power cable.
- Fit a suitable gasket at the pump-side square flange and tighten the bolts evenly to prevent leaks.
- The discharge pipe thread must match the bend thread exactly. BSP/Rp and NPT threads are not interchangeable, and mixing them causes leaks or damaged joints.
- For free-standing installation, stand the pump on a firm, level base so it does not sink into sludge and block the inlet.
- Any entry into a wet well or sump is confined-space work and requires gas testing and the appropriate permit.
