The TSURUMI BEND 50 is the 50 mm (2-inch) discharge bend for Tsurumi cast-iron submersible sewage pumps, listed officially as a Bend Set for free-standing installation. It is an installation accessory, not a pump, so it has no head, flow or power rating. Tsurumi's 50B (non-clog) and 50C (cutter) sewage pumps are supplied without a discharge bend, so you choose the accessory to suit the installation: the BEND 50 for free-standing use, or the TOS3-50 guide rail fitting.
Jaco lists this item under the model code BEND 2" NPT. The outlet thread on Tsurumi discharge bends varies by market: the Asia-Pacific version uses a threaded oval flange with an Rp 2 parallel female thread, the UK version has a 2" female BSP outlet, and Tsurumi America's TOS3-50 NPT guide rail set pairs its 2" JIS 10K flange with a 2" NPT companion flange. NPT (US tapered thread) is not interchangeable with the BSP/Rc threads common in Hong Kong, so please confirm the outlet thread with us before ordering to make sure it matches your hose or pipework.
Selection note: the BEND 50 only fits the 50 mm 50B and 50C models. Pumps with 80 mm or larger discharges need a different bend from the official selection tables: for example, the 80B21.5 and 80C21.5 take the BEND 80, while the 80B411 to 80B422 take the BEND 80-80. The 50U21.5 has no official bend option and uses the TOS5-50 guide rail fitting only. If you want to service the pump without anyone entering the sump, choose the TOS3-50 guide rail fitting instead.
What it does
- Free-standing installation: bolts to the pump's discharge flange and turns the flow 90° to discharge vertically, ready for a hose or pipe connection.
- Sewage and wastewater duty: used with 50B/50C submersible sewage pumps in sewage pits, wastewater sumps and drainage pits.
- Alternative to the guide rail: a 50 mm pump is installed either free-standing (BEND 50) or on a guide rail (TOS3-50); you do not need both.

Safety and installation
- Isolate and lock off the pump's power supply before fitting or changing the bend.
- Lift the pump by its lifting eye or a lifting chain. Never lift it by the power cable or float switch cable.
- Match thread standards exactly. NPT and BSP/Rc threads are not interchangeable; mixing them leads to leaks or joints working loose under pressure.
- Fit the correct gasket at the pump-side flange joint and tighten the bolts evenly. Use a suitable sealant on threaded joints.
- Stand the pump on a firm, level surface so it does not sink into silt.
- Entering a sewage pit or sump is confined-space work and requires gas testing and the appropriate permits.
- Check the flange and threaded joints regularly for leaks or loosening.
