The TSURUMI BEND 80-80 ANSI is a discharge bend for Tsurumi cast-iron submersible sewage pumps, listed officially as a Bend Set for free-standing installation. Both the pump-side connection and the outlet are 80 mm (3 inches). It is an installation accessory, not a pump, so it has no head, flow or power rating. Many of Tsurumi's 80 mm B, C and U series sewage pumps are supplied without a discharge bend, so you choose the accessory to suit the installation: a discharge bend for free-standing use, or the matching TOS guide rail fitting.
Jaco lists this item under the model code BEND 80 X 80 ANSI, which corresponds to Tsurumi America's BEND80-80 ANSI. According to Tsurumi America's official dimension drawing, this version has a 3-inch ANSI flange (150 PSI) outlet. The same bend comes with a different outlet in other markets: the Asia-Pacific version is the BEND 80-80F (discharge bend plus a threaded JIS 10kg/cm² flange), and the UK version has a 3-inch female BSP outlet flange. ANSI, JIS 10K and BSP are different standards and cannot be joined directly, so please confirm the outlet flange with us before ordering to make sure it matches your hose or pipework.
Selection note: the BEND 80-80 and the BEND 80 are both 80 mm, but they fit different pumps. The 80B21.5, 80C21.5 and 80U21.5 officially take the BEND 80 (oval flange), while the 100B42.2, 100B43.7, 100B43.7H, 100C42.2 and 100C43.7 take the BEND 80-100 (80 mm to 100 mm outlet). For guide rail installation, the 80C22.2-CR to 80C211-CR use the TOSH-80, the 80U22.2/80U23.7 use the TOS3-65-80, the 80B411 to 80B422 use the TOS-80F, and the 80BZ41.5 uses the TOS3-80-80.
What it does
- Free-standing installation: bolts to the pump's square discharge flange and turns the flow 90° to discharge vertically, ready for a hose or pipe connection.
- Sewage and wastewater duty: used with Tsurumi 80 mm cast-iron submersible sewage pumps in sewage pits, wastewater sumps and drainage pits.
- Alternative to the guide rail: a pump is installed either free-standing (discharge bend) or on a guide rail (TOS set); you do not need both.
Compatible models
According to Tsurumi's official selection tables, the following models use the BEND 80-80 (Asia-Pacific model BEND 80-80F) for free-standing installation. Some of the larger models also need a stand set.
- C series cutter sewage pumps (high-chrome): 80C22.2-CR, 80C23.7-CR (no stand set needed); 80C25.5-CR, 80C27.5-CR, 80C211-CR (also need the STAND SET)
- B series non-clog sewage pumps: 80B411 (also needs the STAND SET); 80B415 and 80B418.5 (STAND SET 3A at 50 Hz, STAND SET at 60 Hz); 80B422 (STAND SET 3A)
- BZ series: 80BZ41.5 (no stand set needed)
- U series: 80U22.2, 80U23.7
- Tsurumi America model: 100C43.7-CR-63 (3-inch discharge version), whose official dimension drawing specifies the BEND80-80 ANSI

Safety and installation
- Isolate and lock off the pump's power supply before fitting or changing the bend.
- Lift the pump by its lifting eye or a lifting chain. Never lift it by the power cable or float switch cable.
- Match flange standards exactly. ANSI 150, JIS 10K and BSP are different standards; mixing them leads to leaks or joint failure under pressure.
- Fit the correct gasket at the pump-side square flange and tighten the bolts evenly.
- On models that need a stand set, fit it before running the pump free-standing, so the inlet is not starved and the pump does not sink into silt.
- Stand the pump on a firm, level surface.
- Entering a sewage pit or sump is confined-space work and requires gas testing and the appropriate permits.
- Check the flange joints regularly for leaks or loosening.
