The TSURUMI STAND SET is a Tsurumi installation accessory for the brand's cast-iron sewage pumps. Tsurumi's catalogues list it as "Stand Set (Free Standing Type)": the pump stand used for free-standing installation. It is not a pump and has no flow, head or power rating. Several B, BZ and C series sewage pumps rated 5.5 kW and above are officially "supplied without the discharge bend and pump stand". To run one of these pumps standing on the floor of a sump or wet well, order the matching discharge bend (Bend Set) together with this stand set.
Selection note: Tsurumi offers several stand sets for different models. This product is the plain STAND SET with no suffix. It does not fit the following models, which need a different stand set: 100C415 uses STAND SET 6A2; 100B411 and 100B415 on 50 Hz supply, and 100B418.5 and 100B422, use STAND SET 6C; 80B415 and 80B418.5 on 50 Hz supply, and 80B422, use STAND SET 3A; the 150 mm 150B series uses 6A2, 6B or 6C; 150C611-CR uses 6E. Models of 3.7 kW and below do not use a stand set. Check the model and supply frequency on the pump nameplate before ordering.
What it is for
- Free-standing installation: fits under the pump so it can stand directly on the sump or pit floor, with the discharge bend (Bend Set) connecting it to the discharge pipe.
- Alternative to guide rail installation: if the pump is installed on a TOS guide rail fitting, neither this stand set nor the discharge bend is needed.
- Typical sites: sewage pumping stations, wastewater treatment facilities, building sump pits and industrial wastewater pits using Tsurumi cast-iron sewage pumps.

Note: Tsurumi's selection table specifies the STAND SET for 80C25.5-CR, but the note in the same product guide says only that 0.75 to 5.5 kW models are supplied without the discharge bend, with no mention of the stand. Check whether your pump already has a stand before ordering.

Installation notes
- Isolate and lock off the pump's power supply before fitting or removing the stand set.
- Cast-iron sewage pumps of 5.5 kW and above are heavy. Lift them by the lifting eye with a suitably rated chain or shackle. Never lift a pump by its cable.
- When tilting or lifting the pump to fit the stand, make sure it is secure and cannot topple. Tighten all bolts evenly.
- Models officially supplied without the discharge bend and pump stand must have both fitted before free-standing operation. Without them, the pump can sink into silt or have its inlet blocked.
- Stand the pump on a firm, level floor. The flange or thread on the discharge bend must exactly match the discharge pipe standard, with a suitable gasket fitted.
- Entering a sump or wet well is confined-space work and requires gas testing and a permit to work.
- Whenever the pump is lifted out for maintenance, check the stand bolts for looseness or corrosion.
