The TSURUMI BEND 80-100 is a discharge bend for free-standing installation of Tsurumi cast-iron sewage pumps. It is an installation accessory, not a pump. Tsurumi's catalogues list it as a "Bend Set" (catalogue designation BEND 80-100F), consisting of a discharge bend and an outlet flange, with an 80 mm pump-side connection and a 100 mm (4-inch) outlet. In Tsurumi's official selection tables, it is the bend used for free-standing installation of the 100B42.2, 100B43.7, 100B43.7H, 100BZ42.2, 100BZ43.7, 100C42.2 and 100C43.7.
Many Tsurumi cast-iron sewage pumps are supplied without a discharge bend, so the accessory is chosen to suit the installation: a discharge bend for free-standing use, or a TOS guide rail fitting for rail-mounted installation.
Selection note: the BEND 80-100 looks similar to the BEND 80-80 and BEND 100-100, but each fits different pumps. The 2.2–3.7 kW 100 mm B, BZ and C models take the BEND 80-100. The 100 mm models of 5.5 kW and above (such as the 100B45.5 and 100C45.5) need the BEND 100-100, while 80 mm discharge models such as the 80B411–422 and 80C22.2-CR to 80C211-CR use the BEND 80-80. If you want a guide rail installation that lets the pump be lifted out for service without entering the sump, choose the TOS3-80-100 guide rail fitting instead.
What it does
- Free-standing installation: turns the pump discharge through 90° to connect the delivery pipe, so the pump can stand directly on the sump or pit floor with no guide rail base to install first.
- Size transition: steps up from the 80 mm pump-side connection to a 100 mm (4-inch) outlet for 100 mm delivery pipework.
- No stand set required: in the official selection tables, the compatible models below need no separate stand set for free-standing installation.

Tsurumi America also offers the 100C43.7-CR with a BEND80-100 ANSI (4-inch ANSI flange). For any model not listed above, check the official selection tables or ask JACO first; do not assume every 100 mm Tsurumi pump takes this bend.

Installation notes
- Isolate and lock off the pump power supply before fitting or changing the bend.
- Lift the pump by its lifting eye or lifting chain. Never lift it by the power cable or a float switch cable.
- Fit a suitable gasket at the pump-side square flange and tighten the bolts evenly to prevent leaks.
- The outlet flange or thread must match the delivery pipe standard exactly. JIS 10K, ANSI 150 and BSP flanges have different dimensions, and NPT and BSP/Rc threads are not interchangeable; a mismatched joint will leak or fail under pressure.
- Stand the pump on a firm, level surface so it does not sink into silt or block its own inlet.
- If the pump will be lifted out for service often, consider a TOS3-80-100 guide rail installation to reduce sump entry. Sump entry is confined-space work and requires gas testing and a permit to work.
