The TSURUMI TOS3-80-100 is a guide rail fitting (TOS set) for Tsurumi cast-iron submersible sewage pumps. It is an installation accessory, not a pump, so it has no head, flow or power rating of its own. The set adapts an 80 mm pump-side connection to a 100 mm discharge and is specified for selected 100 mm B, BZ and C series pumps.

The duckfoot bend is fixed to the floor of the sump. As the pump is lowered down two guide pipes it couples to the discharge pipe automatically, and it uncouples again when hoisted. In Tsurumi's words, the system connects the pump to and from the piping just by lowering and hoisting it, so maintenance and inspection can be done without entering the sump. TOS sets are made of cast iron and are designed for Tsurumi cast-iron pumps.

Selection note: Tsurumi TOS sets are matched to specific pump models; they are not universal to every 100 mm pump. The TOS3-80-100 fits only the 2.2 kW and 3.7 kW 100 mm B/BZ/C models. Larger models such as 100B45.5, 100B47.5 and 100C45.5 to 100C415 take the TOS3-100-100 (100B411 to 100B422 use a different set, the TOS-100F), while 80 mm models such as 80B21.5 and 80C21.5 take the TOS3-80-80. For a free-standing installation, use the BEND 80-100 discharge bend instead.

Maintenance without sump entry: hoist the pump up the rails on its chain and it separates from the discharge pipe for inspection, cleaning or replacement.
Size transition: 80 mm pump-side connection to a 100 mm discharge line.

Installation notes

Isolate and lock off the pump power before fitting or changing any accessory.
Anchor the duckfoot bend to a level concrete sump floor with four M16 × 120L anchor bolts.
The two guide pipes must be vertical and parallel so the pump slides down and couples cleanly. In deep sumps, Tsurumi America recommends an intermediate guide bracket (it advises one for lift stations deeper than 15 ft).
Lift the pump only by the set's lifting chain and shackles or the pump's lifting eye, never by the power or float cable. Make sure the chain and shackles are rated for the pump's weight.
The discharge pipe flange or thread must match the set exactly (JIS 10K, ANSI 150 and BSP are not interchangeable). Fit the correct gasket and tighten the bolts evenly, or the joint may leak or fail under pressure.
The guide rail system exists so that no one has to enter the wet well. If entry is unavoidable, treat it as confined-space work, with gas testing and the required permits.
