As part of the Krystol Crack Repair System, Krystol Plug rapid setting hydraulic cement is a fast-setting hydraulic cement product that, when mixed with water, can be used to stop water flow and repair leaking cracks, voids, and construction joints in concrete.
Krystol Plug rapid setting hydraulic cement sets and hardens within 2 minutes and has high compressive strength, stopping water even under high hydrostatic pressure. Once the water is stopped, the leak can be permanently repaired using Krystol technology.
Mix Krystol Plug rapid setting hydraulic cement with water and immediately press firmly into a pre-formed groove to stop water flow. Once water is stopped, introduce Krystol technology into the crack repair using Krystol repair mortar materials. When applied to concrete, Krystol reacts with water and unhydrated cement particles to form insoluble crystalline structures that fill the pores and micro-cracks in the concrete, blocking the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants. Water entering the concrete over its service life will cause crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing of the concrete.

Mix Krystol Plug with clean water to a dough-like consistency that can be handled with gloved hands – approximately 4 parts powder to 1 part water by volume. Mix only as much material as can be used within one minute. After completely filling the crack or void with the Krystol Plug mixture, immediately apply maximum force to press the material firmly to the bottom of the crack, using a slight back-and-forth motion. Air and surface temperatures must be greater than 4°C (40°F).
Krystol Plug rapid setting hydraulic cement is effective only on rigid structures. Waterproofing performance cannot be guaranteed on structures with dynamic loads or repeated movement. For specific projects, please consult with a Kryton sales representative.
This product is for professional use only. Please read the Material Safety Data Sheet (SDS) carefully before use. This product is corrosive when mixed with water or sweat. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and avoid inhaling dust. Wear long-sleeved clothing, safety goggles, and impermeable gloves during application.
