Product Overview

The TSURUMI Vortex Resin Sludge Pump OM5 is the Economic-class model in the VANCS resin submersible pump lineup: it has a 32mm discharge bore, a 0.15kW single-phase 2-pole motor, and a semi-vortex resin impeller capable of passing solids up to 10mm. OM5 is the standard version (no built-in float switch — it requires an external control panel or manual start/stop; the automatic float-switch version in the same series is model OMA5). It is intended for pumping domestic wastewater, rainwater, and liquids containing small solids in residential, office and small-scale applications.

Key Features

Semi-vortex resin impeller passes solids up to 10mm, balancing pumping efficiency with clog resistance
Impeller and casing are made mainly of glass-fiber reinforced resin (upper casing PPO-GF / lower casing ABS) for a lightweight, corrosion-resistant body
304 stainless steel motor frame with a 316 stainless steel shaft for enhanced durability
Dual inside mechanical seals (silicon carbide face) with Tsurumi's original Oil Lifter design for extended seal life
Uses food-grade liquid paraffin lubricant (ISO VG32), safe for fish, suitable for ponds and waterscape circulation
Compact dry weight of only 5.1kg (excluding cable) with a standard 5m power cable for easy handling and installation

Applications

Basement / floor drainage: seepage and standing water removal in residential and office basements

Waterscape circulation: circulating water for artificial waterfalls, fountains and garden water features

Pond / aquarium use: water circulation for koi ponds and aquariums (food-grade lubricant is fish-safe)

Light-duty drainage: small-scale standing water and light domestic wastewater removal
