The TSURUMI LSC2.75S is the 50 mm, 0.75 kW model in Tsurumi's LSC series of submersible single-phase portable residue drainage pumps (officially classed as residue dewatering pumps). Its specially designed base plate draws water down to about 1 mm, and a built-in valve seat with a swing check valve stops pumped water from flowing back when the pump stops. It is made for clearing shallow standing water from site floors, basements and low spots.
This listing is the single-phase 110V version, for use where a 110V single-phase supply is available (for example a site supply from a step-down transformer). Tsurumi's Hong Kong and global data do not list a voltage for this model, so frequency and rated current are as per the nameplate.
Selection note: the LSC2.75S is a submersible pump. It must run in the water, and the casing must be wet before it will start; it is not self-priming. If the pump has to sit outside the water, choose the LSP1.4S self-priming residue drainage pump. If your site does not have a 110V supply, choose the standard LSC2.75S and confirm the voltage on its nameplate; never connect this 110V version directly to a 220V supply. If a 25 mm outlet and lower head are enough, consider the LSC1.4S.
Key features
- Pumps down to about 1 mm: the special base plate clears small amounts of water from shallow pits and floors.
- 17 m maximum head: according to Tsurumi, 42% higher than the 480W model, so water can be sent higher or further (17 m is the 60 Hz curve value; see Performance).
- Check valve against backflow: a built-in valve seat and swing check valve keep pumped water from running back when the pump stops.
- Flow-thru top discharge: water passes around the motor and force-cools it, allowing long continuous running at low water levels and improving dry-running endurance. This only extends tolerance; the pump must still not be run dry.
- Switchable discharge direction: the multi-directional hose coupling can be set to vertical or angled discharge with a spanner, preventing the discharge hose from kinking.
- Rubber-lined base: protects the floor surface.
- Double inside mechanical seals: silicon carbide (SiC) faces housed in the oil chamber. Tsurumi states that SiC offers five times the corrosion, wear and heat resistance of tungsten carbide.
- Oil Lifter: Tsurumi's original design keeps the seal faces lubricated and cooled even when the oil level falls to one third of normal.
- Anti-wicking cable entry and V-ring: limits water creeping along the cable cores into the motor; an NBR V-ring provides a dust seal.
- Built-in circle thermal protector (CTP): cuts power automatically on overheating or overload.
- Wear-resistant build: wearing parts use abrasion-resistant materials; Tsurumi states that, although single-phase, the pump is as durable as its three-phase dewatering pumps.

Performance
Maximum head is the head at near-zero flow. The 17 m figure in Tsurumi's Hong Kong and global data comes from the 60 Hz performance curve; on the official catalogue curve, the 50 Hz shut-off head is about 15 m. The curve ends at about 0.23 m³/min (at roughly 7–8 m head), and Tsurumi does not publish a rated maximum capacity. Actual flow falls as total head (static head plus hose friction loss) rises. The curves were measured with an unrestricted suction and the pump suspended. Select the pump using the nameplate frequency and your site's total head.

Safety and installation
- Supply voltage and frequency must match the nameplate, with voltage within ±10% of rating. Never connect a 110V pump directly to 220V, and do not run a 50 Hz pump on 60 Hz or vice versa. When powering from a generator, avoid connecting other equipment to it at the same time.
- Earth the pump properly and use it with an earth-leakage circuit breaker. Never connect the earth wire to a gas pipe, water pipe, lightning rod or telephone earth.
- The casing must be wet before starting. If the water level is low, pour about 2.5 L of clean water in through the outlet before starting.
- Do not run the pump dry or against a closed valve. If the motor protector trips, find and fix the cause before restarting.
- Never lift or pull the pump by its cable; use the handle. Do not kink or sharply bend the cable, do not submerge a damaged cable, and keep cable joints and plugs dry.
- Switch off and unplug before inspection or maintenance. Do not stand near the pump while it is running, to avoid electric shock from leakage.
- The pump body is hot during and just after operation; avoid touching it directly.
- Do not use near flammable or explosive materials.
- After use, remove the discharge hose and turn the pump upside down to drain the water inside.
Wear parts and routine checks
- Parts to check regularly: oil-chamber lubricant, swing check valve and mechanical seals.
- Measure insulation resistance monthly and check running current and voltage.
- Change the lubricating oil periodically and inspect the swing check valve.
- Overhaul every 2–5 years. Mechanical seal replacement must be carried out by the agent.
