LOCTITE Threadlocker #263 is a high-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic adhesive designed for permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. LOCTITE 263 is particularly suited for heavy-duty applications such as engine block bolts, pump housing bolts, and other high-strength fastener assemblies. It performs well on both active metals (e.g., brass, copper) and inert substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, while offering high-temperature resistance and oil tolerance.
