LOCTITE® #277 Threadlocker is a red, high-strength, high-viscosity anaerobic threadlocking compound designed for permanent locking and sealing of large bolts and studs. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a tough thermoset polymer that prevents loosening, leakage, and corrosion caused by vibration. Ideal for fasteners 25 mm (1") and larger, it is widely used in industrial maintenance, automotive, and heavy machinery applications. The product features fluorescence for easy inspection under UV light and can be disassembled by localized heating to approximately 250°C.
