The TSURUMI KTZ615-SEA seawater-resistant version is a seawater-resistant specification of the Tsurumi KTZ615 heavy-duty submersible dewatering pump, supplied by Jaco through the Hong Kong distributor. The KTZ series is Tsurumi's flagship line of three-phase, cast-iron dewatering pumps (officially classed as a general construction pump). The KTZ615 has a 150 mm (6-inch) discharge and a 15 kW motor, delivers up to 2,800 L/min with a maximum head of 39.5 m and passes solids up to 20 mm; among the 150 mm KTZ models it is second only to the 22 kW KTZ622 for both flow and head. The KTZ615-SEA suits high-volume drainage involving seawater or brackish water, such as waterfront sites and marine construction.
Seawater-resistant configuration: please confirm the exact seawater-resistant configuration of the KTZ615-SEA (components and materials, minimum continuous water level, and service and replacement intervals) with Jaco before ordering. Performance, electrical and dimensional data on this page are for the KTZ615 base model.
Selection note: for freshwater site drainage only, the standard KTZ615 (non-seawater) is sufficient. For lower flow, consider the KTZ611-SEA seawater-resistant version (11 kW, 2,440 L/min); for higher head at lower flow, consider the 100 mm KTZ411-SEA seawater-resistant version (11 kW, up to 48.5 m). The KTZ615-SEA is a dewatering pump, not a slurry pump, so it is not suitable for settled sludge, dense sand slurry, desilting or dredging. It is a non-automatic model with no float or electrode control.
This is a dewatering pump for water carrying a small amount of sand and silt (up to 10% dry matter). It is not suitable for slurry, dense sand mixtures, desilting or dredging.
The 39.5 m maximum head is the head at near-zero flow, and the 2,800 L/min (about 168 m³/h) maximum capacity is the end point of the performance curve. The two do not occur together: actual flow falls as total head (static head plus hose friction loss) rises. Select the pump from the performance curve using your site's total head. These figures are for the KTZ615 base model (50 Hz).
