The TSURUMI HSR2.4S 110V is the residue drainage pump of Tsurumi's HS series (official Tsurumi classification: submersible pumps > residue dewatering pumps), a single-phase portable submersible pump. It has a 50 mm discharge and a 0.4 kW single-phase motor; this listing is the single-phase 110V supply version. It starts pumping once the water is just 5 mm deep and keeps going until the water is down to 1 mm, which makes it the pump for the final clean-up of standing water on sites, in basements and after flooding.
A rubber stand on the base protects floors from scratching, and the multi-directional hose coupling lets you run the discharge vertically or at an incline so the hose does not kink. Dry weight is 10.8 kg (excluding cable), so one person can carry it.
Selection note: the HSR2.4S is built for residual water. Its solids passage is only 3 mm and it has no agitator, so it is not suitable for slurry or water with a lot of debris. For deeper water or particles up to 7 mm, choose the HS2.4S 110V portable dewatering pump; for automatic start/stop by water level, the HSZ2.4S 110V automatic model; and for settled sand and mud, the HSD2.55S 110V slurry pump.

Performance
Tsurumi publishes HSR2.4S performance only as a curve (50 Hz), measured with the pump hanging and no restriction on the suction; there are no separate single figures for maximum head and maximum capacity, and no official performance data for the 110V version. In general, maximum head is the head at near-zero flow and maximum capacity is the end point of the curve. The two never occur together: actual flow falls as total head (static head plus hose friction loss) rises. Select the pump from the official curve using your site's total head. Optional accessories

- 110V site isolating transformer: this 110V version must run from a single-phase 110V supply.
Safety and installation
- This is the 110V version. Connect it only to a single-phase 110V supply (normally through a site isolating transformer). Never connect it to a 220V/230V supply.
- Electrical connection must be made by a registered electrical worker in line with local regulations and be properly earthed; an earth-leakage (RCD) protected supply is recommended.
- The built-in MTP cuts the motor on overheating or dry-running, but it is a safeguard only. Do not let the pump run dry for long periods.
- Carry and lower the pump by its handle. Never lift or pull it by the cable. A damaged cable must be replaced or repaired before use.
- Stand the pump on firm, level ground.
- For draining standing water only. Do not use in flammable or explosive atmospheres, and do not pump flammable, corrosive or hot liquids, or seawater.
Wear parts and routine checks
- The impeller and mechanical seals wear gradually in use, and flow drops as they wear.
- Always isolate the power before inspection or servicing. Check and change the seal-chamber oil (turbine oil ISO VG32, 160 ml) regularly; the Oil Lifter only maintains lubrication down to about 1/3 of the normal oil level. If the oil is cloudy or contains water, have the shaft seals inspected promptly.
- With only 3 mm solids passage, clear debris and silt from around the suction regularly.
