The TSURUMI 150B47.5H is the high-head model in Tsurumi's B series of submersible non-clog sewage pumps (channel impeller). It has a 150 mm discharge and a 7.5 kW 4-pole three-phase motor. With a gray cast-iron shrouded single-channel impeller, casing and motor frame, it is designed to minimize trouble from clogging by solids and fibrous matter, passes solids up to 70 mm, and suits sewage pump stations, building sewage sumps and industrial wastewater duty.
Selection note: the 150B47.5H is a 7.5 kW pump. In the model code, "47.5" means 4-pole, 7.5 kW, so do not confuse it with Tsurumi's 75 kW 150B475. The 150B47.5L, also 150 mm and 7.5 kW, is the low-head, higher-flow version (shrouded two-channel impeller); the 150B47.5H gives more head in the lower flow range but a smaller maximum flow. For a higher head at lower flow, consider the 100 mm 100B47.5.
Key features
- Anti-clogging channel impeller: a shrouded single-channel impeller that pumps solids like liquids and reduces clogging by solids and fibrous matter; 70 mm solids passage.
- Double inside mechanical seals: silicon carbide (SiC) faces running in an oil chamber, with Tsurumi's original Oil Lifter, which keeps the seal faces lubricated even when the oil drops to about one third of the normal level.
- Built-in circle thermal protector (CTP): directly cuts the motor circuit on overheating or overcurrent.
- Anti-wicking cable entry: stops water creeping along a damaged or submerged cable into the motor and prevents condensation inside the motor.
- Continuous-duty dry motor: 4-pole induction motor, 1,500 min⁻¹ synchronous speed at 50 Hz, insulation class F.
- Starting: direct-on-line (DOL) as standard; star-delta available on request.
- JIS 10K threaded flange discharge: connects to pipework through a JIS 10K mating flange; a guide-rail fitting (TOS150B47.5H) is also available.

Performance
On Tsurumi's official 50 Hz performance curve (IA100-B), the 150B47.5H curve starts at about 18 m head at 0.5 m³/min and ends at about 6.5 m head at about 3.7 m³/min (about 3,700 L/min or 222 m³/h). These are approximate values read from the curve. The official curve does not show a zero-flow (shut-off) head. The maximum flow is the end point of the curve, and maximum head and maximum flow never occur together: actual flow falls as total head (static head plus pipe friction loss) rises. Select the pump from the official curve using your site's total head; the formal data sheet is available from Tsurumi's Hong Kong agent.

Optional accessories
- Guide-rail fitting (TOS150B47.5H): includes a duckfoot bend, guide support with bolts and nuts, guide hook, 5 m lifting chain with shackles and a JIS 10K flange. Guide pipes are not supplied. The guide rail lets you lift the pump for maintenance without entering the sump.
- Float switches: MC heavy-duty float switch (with shock absorber, NO or NC selectable, for liquid with suspended solids and scum) or MT economy float switch with integrated counterweight, used with an external control panel.
- External control panel: three-phase pumps must be connected through a control panel with overload, phase-loss and phase-sequence protection; star-delta panels are available on request.
- JIS 10K mating flange: for connection to site discharge pipework.
Safety and installation
- Electrical connection must be made by a registered electrical worker in line with local regulations. Earth the pump correctly and fit overload and earth-leakage protection in the control panel.
- Check the rotation direction of three-phase pumps before putting them into service.
- After the built-in CTP trips, the motor may restart automatically once it cools. Always isolate the power before inspection or servicing.
- The free-standing pump weighs 205 kg: use hoisting equipment and lift it by its lifting handle or chain, never by the power cable.
- Never let the cable end be submerged and never cut or damage the cable sheath. The anti-wicking cable entry is a safeguard, not a substitute for correct cable handling.
- Keep an adequate liquid level during operation and avoid prolonged dry running.
- The pump is for sewage and wastewater at 0–40 °C and pH 5–9. The standard model is not seawater-resistant, high-temperature or explosion-proof; do not use it for flammable, explosive or strongly corrosive liquids, or liquids above 40 °C.
- Do not touch the pump or put your hands near the suction while it is energised. In sewage sumps, follow confined-space and toxic-gas (e.g. hydrogen sulfide) precautions.
Wear parts and routine checks
- Main wear parts: impeller, suction cover, mechanical seals and oil seal.
- Check and change the oil in the oil chamber regularly (turbine oil ISO VG32, 4,200 ml) to protect the mechanical seals. If the oil is cloudy or contains water, have the shaft seals inspected promptly.
- Regularly inspect the cable sheath for damage and the impeller for wear or entangled debris.
