The TSURUMI 100B43.7 is a submersible non-clog sewage pump from Tsurumi's B series, which uses a channel impeller. It has a 100 mm discharge and a 3.7 kW 4-pole three-phase motor. The B series is Tsurumi's basic heavy-duty sewage and wastewater pump line: the anti-clogging channel impeller is designed to minimize trouble from solids and fibrous matter, making it suitable for long, continuous duty in building sewage pits, sumps, industrial effluent and water treatment facilities.
The casing, impeller and motor frame are gray cast iron, the shaft is 420 stainless steel, and the shaft is sealed by dual inside silicon carbide mechanical seals with Tsurumi's original Oil Lifter. Solids passage is about 45 mm.
Selection note: this is the standard (non-automatic) 100B43.7. It has no built-in float, so level control needs an external float switch and control panel. For more head, choose the high-head 100B43.7H (20 m max head, lower flow). The B series is a sewage pump line, not a slurry pump, and is not suitable for dense sand slurry or settled sludge.

Performance
The figures below are approximate values read from the 50 Hz performance curve in Tsurumi's IA100 catalogue. The maximum head of about 16 m is the shut-off head at zero flow; the maximum capacity of about 2.0 m³/min (about 120 m³/h) is the end point of the curve, where head has fallen to about 3 m. The two never occur together: actual flow drops as total head (static head plus hose and pipe friction loss) rises. Size the pump against the curve using your site's total head. Hong Kong runs on 50 Hz, so do not use 60 Hz curves.

Optional accessories
- TOS100B43.7 guide rail fitting: includes duckfoot bend, guide support with bolts and nuts, guide hook, 5 m lifting chain with shackles and JIS 10K flange. Guide pipes are not supplied and must be sourced separately.
- Float switches: for level control through an external control panel. The MC-2 is a heavy-duty float with a shock absorber, NO or NC selectable, for liquid with suspended solids and scum; the MT-1 is an economy teardrop float with integrated counterweight and SPDT switch for filling or emptying.
- External control panel: three-phase pumps must be connected through a control panel with overload, phase-loss and phase-sequence protection.
- JIS 10K mating flange: for connection to local discharge pipework.
Safety and installation
- Installation and wiring must be carried out by a registered electrical worker. Earth the pump properly and fit overload protection and an earth-leakage breaker in the control panel.
- Check the rotation of three-phase pumps before putting them into service; if it is wrong, have an electrician swap two phases.
- The built-in CTP cuts the motor on overheating or overcurrent, and the pump may restart once it cools. Always isolate the power before inspection or servicing.
- Keep the liquid at or above the minimum running level and avoid prolonged dry running.
- For sewage and wastewater at 0–40 °C and pH 5–9 only. The standard model is not seawater-resistant, not rated for hot liquids and not explosion-proof; do not use it for seawater, flammable, explosive or strongly corrosive liquids.
- The pump weighs 80 kg dry. Lift it by its handle with a chain and hoisting equipment, never by the power cable.
- Never let the cable end be submerged and never cut or damage the cable sheath; the anti-wicking cable entry is a safeguard, not a substitute.
- Do not touch the pump or put hands near the suction while it is energised. Follow confined-space and toxic gas (H₂S) precautions in sewage pits; a guide rail fitting lets the pump be lifted for service without entering the pit.
Wear parts and routine checks
- Main wear parts: impeller, suction cover, mechanical seals and oil seal.
- Check the oil in the oil chamber regularly and change it on schedule (turbine oil ISO VG32, 1,350 ml) to protect the mechanical seals. If the oil is cloudy or contains water, have the shaft seals inspected promptly.
- If flow drops noticeably, check the impeller for wear or entangled debris, and check the clearance between the impeller and the suction cover.
