The TSURUMI 100B43.7H-E1 is the high-head model in Tsurumi's B series of non-clog sewage pumps (channel impeller), a heavy-duty submersible pump for sewage and wastewater. It has a 100 mm discharge, a 3.7 kW 4-pole three-phase motor and a semi-open two-channel impeller. Because the impeller itself forms the flow channel, solids and fibrous matter are less likely to clog the pump, making it well suited to continuous duty in sewage pump stations, building sumps, industrial effluent and treatment plants where extra head is needed.
The "-E1" suffix does not appear in Tsurumi's official catalogues. The specifications below are those of the official base model 100B43.7H; voltage and rated current of the supplied unit are as per the nameplate.
Selection note: the 100B43.7H and the 100B43.7 share the same 3.7 kW motor, but the "H" high-head model trades flow for head: 20 m maximum head (about 16 m on the 100B43.7) against 1,180 L/min maximum capacity (about 2,000 L/min on the 100B43.7), with a smaller solids passage. Choose the 100B43.7H for discharge lines with a large vertical lift, and the 100B43.7 where volume matters more than head. The B series are sewage pumps, not slurry or sand pumps, and are not suited to dense slurry or abrasive sandy duty. The official 100B43.7H is a standard (non-automatic) model with no built-in float; for level-controlled operation, add a float switch and a control panel.
Key features
- High-head channel impeller: semi-open two-channel design with axial gap, delivering higher head for the same motor output while minimising clogging by solids and fibrous matter.
- Double inside mechanical seals: silicon carbide (SiC) faces running in an oil chamber, with Tsurumi's Oil Lifter keeping the seal faces lubricated even when the oil level falls to about one third of normal.
- Built-in circle thermal protector (CTP): directly cuts the motor circuit on overheating or overcurrent.
- Anti-wicking cable entry: stops water creeping along a damaged or submerged cable into the motor and prevents condensation inside the motor.
- Continuous-duty dry motor: 4-pole induction motor, IP68, insulation class F, direct-on-line (D.O.L.) starting.
- Guide-rail installation available: with the TOS100B43.7H guide rail fitting, the pump disconnects from and reconnects to the discharge pipe simply by lifting or lowering it, so servicing does not require entering the sump.

Performance
The 20 m maximum head is the head at near-zero flow, and the 1,180 L/min (70.8 m³/h) maximum capacity is the end point of the 50 Hz performance curve. The two do not occur together: actual flow falls as total head (static head plus pipe friction loss) rises. Select the pump from the 50 Hz performance curve using your site's total head. For higher heads, consider the 100B45.5 (26 m) or 100B47.5 (29.7 m).

Optional accessories
- TOS100B43.7H guide rail fitting: cast iron; includes duckfoot bend, guide support with bolts and nuts, guide hook, 5 m lifting chain with shackles and a JIS 10 kg/cm² flange. Guide pipes are not supplied.
- Float switches: MC heavy-duty float switch (with shock absorber, NO or NC selectable, for liquids with suspended solids and scum); MT economy float switch with integrated counterweight (SPDT, for filling or emptying control). Both are used with an external control panel.
- Control panel: three-phase pumps must be connected through a control panel providing overload, phase-loss and phase-sequence protection.
- JIS 10K mating flange: specify a JIS 10K flange when connecting to local discharge pipework.
Safety and installation
- Electrical connection must be made by a registered electrical worker in line with local regulations. Earth the pump correctly and fit overload and earth-leakage protection in the control panel.
- Check the rotation direction of three-phase pumps before first use; if it is wrong, have an electrician swap two phases.
- After the built-in CTP trips, the motor may restart automatically once it cools. Always isolate the power before inspection or servicing.
- Keep the liquid above the lowest running water level (225 mm) and avoid prolonged dry running.
- For sewage and wastewater at 0–40 °C and pH 5–9 only. The standard model is not designed for seawater or hot liquids; do not use it for flammable, explosive or strongly corrosive liquids.
- The pump weighs about 82 kg dry. Lift it by the handle or a lifting chain with suitable hoisting equipment, never by the cable.
- Never let the cable end be submerged and never cut or damage the cable sheath; the anti-wicking cable entry is a safeguard only.
- Do not touch the pump or put hands near the suction while it is energised. When working in sewage sumps, follow confined-space and toxic gas (such as hydrogen sulphide) precautions; a guide-rail installation lets the pump be lifted out for servicing without entering the sump.
Wear parts and routine checks
- Main wear parts: impeller, suction cover, mechanical seals and oil seal.
- Check and change the oil-chamber lubricant regularly (turbine oil ISO VG32, 1,350 ml) to protect the mechanical seals. If the oil is cloudy or contains water, have the shaft seals inspected promptly.
- Regularly check the clearance between the impeller and suction cover, and the condition of the cable sheath.
