The TSURUMI 100B43.7-E1 is a heavy-duty submersible sewage and wastewater pump from Tsurumi's B series of non-clog pumps with channel impellers. It has a 100 mm discharge and a 3.7 kW 4-pole three-phase motor driving a semi-open single-channel impeller. The impeller itself forms the flow channel, which minimizes trouble from clogged solids and fibrous matter, so the pump suits continuous duty in sewage pumping stations, building sumps, factory effluent and water treatment facilities.
The "-E1" suffix does not appear in Tsurumi's official catalogues. The specifications below are for the official base model 100B43.7; the voltage and rated current of the supplied unit are as per the nameplate.
Selection note: the 100B43.7 is the standard model, giving the higher flow. The 100B43.7H, also 3.7 kW, is the high-head version (semi-open two-channel impeller, 20 m max. head, 1,180 L/min max. capacity); choose it when your total head is higher. B-series pumps are sewage pumps, not slurry or sand pumps: they have no agitator and no high-chrome wear parts, so they are not suited to dense slurry or abrasive sandy duty. The official 100B43.7 is a standard (non-automatic) model; for level-controlled start and stop, add a float switch and a control panel.
Key features
- Non-clog channel impeller: semi-open single-channel design with axial gap, minimizing clogging by solids and fibrous matter; solids passage approx. 45 mm diameter.
- Dual inside mechanical seals: silicon carbide (SiC) faces running in an oil chamber, with Tsurumi's original Oil Lifter, which keeps the seal faces lubricated down to about one third of the normal oil level.
- Built-in circle thermal protector (CTP): directly cuts the motor circuit on overheating or overcurrent.
- Anti-wicking cable entry: stops water creeping along a damaged or submerged cable into the motor and prevents condensation inside the motor.

- Guide-rail installation available: with the TOS100B43.7 guide rail fitting, the pump disconnects from or reconnects to the discharge pipe simply by lifting or lowering it, so maintenance does not require entering the sump.

Performance
From Tsurumi's official 50 Hz performance curve, the maximum head of approx. 16 m is the head at near-zero flow, and the maximum capacity of approx. 2.0 m³/min (about 2,000 L/min or 120 m³/h) is the end point of the curve, where the head is only about 3 m. The two do not occur together: actual flow falls as total head (static head plus pipe friction loss) rises. These are approximate values read from the curve; select the pump from the official 50 Hz curve using your site's total head. For higher heads, consider the 100B43.7H (20 m), 100B45.5 (26 m) or 100B47.5 (29.7 m).

Optional accessories
- TOS100B43.7 guide rail fitting: cast iron; includes duckfoot bend, guide support with bolts and nuts, guide hook, 5 m lifting chain with shackles, and JIS 10 kg/cm² flange. Guide pipes are not supplied.
- Float switches: MC heavy-duty float switch (with shock absorber, NO or NC selectable, for liquids with suspended solids and scum); MT teardrop float switch with integrated counterweight (SPDT, for filling or emptying). Use with an external control panel.
- Control panel: three-phase pumps must be connected through a control panel providing overload, phase-loss and phase-sequence protection.
- JIS 10K mating flange: specify a JIS 10K flange when connecting to local discharge piping.
Safety and installation
- Electrical connection must be made by a registered electrical worker in line with local regulations. Earth the pump properly and fit overload and earth-leakage protection in the control panel.
- Check the rotation direction of three-phase pumps before first use; if it is wrong, have an electrician swap two phases.
- After the built-in CTP trips, the motor may restart automatically once it cools. Always isolate the power before inspection or servicing.
- Keep the liquid above the minimum running level shown on the official dimension drawing, and avoid prolonged dry running.
- For sewage and wastewater at 0–40 °C and pH 5–9 only. The standard model is not designed for seawater or high temperatures; do not pump flammable, explosive or strongly corrosive liquids.
- The pump weighs about 80 kg dry. Lift it by its handle or lifting chain with suitable hoisting equipment, never by the power cable.
- Never let the cable end be submerged and never cut or damage the cable sheath; the anti-wicking cable entry is a safeguard only.
- Do not touch the pump or put your hands near the suction while it is energised. Follow confined-space and toxic gas (such as hydrogen sulphide) precautions in sewage sumps; a guide rail fitting lets you lift the pump out for maintenance without entering the sump.
Wear parts and routine checks
- Main wear parts: impeller, suction cover, mechanical seals and oil seal.
- Check and replace the oil in the oil chamber regularly (turbine oil ISO VG32, 1,350 ml) to protect the mechanical seals. If the oil is cloudy or contains water, have the shaft seals inspected promptly.
- Regularly check the clearance between the impeller and the suction cover, and the condition of the cable sheath.
