- Limitations:
- Do not apply to exterior surfaces if rain is expected within 24 hours. Air, sealant, and surface temperatures should be 40°F (4°C) and rising. Protect from rain for 24-48 hours after application. In damp or cold conditions, drying time may be extended. The sealant should be dry and ready for painting with a quality acrylic water-based (latex) paint that does not contain plasticizers within 2-4 hours. For other paint types, a compatibility test is recommended. To ensure neat sealant lines, mask the area near the joint. Always apply sealant in a bead form. Once the sealant is dry to the touch and does not transfer, remove the masking tape. If joint depth exceeds 1/2", use backer material. Note: It is strongly recommended to use backer rod/support material for all joints. The sealant may appear to have a different shade/color when initially extruded until it is fully dry/cured. Not designed for continuous submersion or use below the waterline. Store unused product in a dry location at 100°F (37.8°C) or below. Storage above 120°F (48.9°C) may cause the sealant to react, resulting in a granular texture. Not suitable for nail holes or butt joints.
