The WORX WU802.9 is a 76mm brushless mini angle grinder / VERSACUT multi-purpose cut-off saw on the 20V KROSS PACK lithium platform, built for M&E installation, door, gate and window work, carpentry and ceiling work, tile grout cutting and other precision cutting and grinding jobs in confined spaces. A compact 42mm brushless motor driving an offset gearbox delivers up to 20,000 rpm with three selectable speeds of 8,000 / 14,000 / 20,000 rpm to match steel, tile and stone, or wood veneer. The 76mm blade with a 10mm arbor cuts to a maximum depth of 22mm, while the 0.9 kg bare-tool weight, 242 × 127 × 108 mm body and 7cm short lever arm keep one-handed and overhead work easy. The tool adds one-touch forward/reverse, an LED work light, a tool-free adjustable guard, a safety lock-off switch and an emergency brake that stops the blade within 0.5 seconds. This is the bare-tool version: no battery and no charger are included, making it the cost-effective way to add a mini grinder if you already own WORX 20V KROSS PACK batteries.

Three speed settings matched to the material

High speed at 20,000 rpm powers through steel, tile and wood veneer. Medium speed at 14,000 rpm gives a clean, burr-free cut for cutting openings in mortise locks, metal gates and timber doors. Low speed at 8,000 rpm allows fine work such as grout removal without chipping tile edges.

42mm compact brushless motor with offset gearbox

The 42mm compact brushless motor delivers 20,000 rpm, and the offset gearbox uses leverage to raise torque output for a full 22mm depth of cut through hard metal in a single pass. Brushless construction means higher efficiency, longer life and no brush maintenance.

0.9 kg body for one-handed work in tight spaces

At just 0.9 kg bare and 242mm long, with a 7cm short lever arm and balanced weight distribution, the tool stays controllable overhead, at height and in confined spaces without extra effort on the cut.

Forward/reverse, LED light and tool-free guard

One-touch forward/reverse control directs sparks and debris away from the operator. A built-in LED lights dark work areas, the guard adjusts without tools, and a safety lock-off switch prevents accidental starts. Releasing the trigger brings the blade to an emergency stop within 0.5 seconds. An on-board holder keeps the hex wrench with the tool for blade changes.
