The WORX WU690.1 is a brushless cordless oscillating multi-tool on the 20V POWERSHARE platform. It drives the accessory at high oscillation frequency so a single tool handles cutting, plunge cuts, scraping and sanding. Rated at 450W with a no-load speed of 8,000-18,000 opm, a 3° oscillation angle and a tool weight of about 1,500g, it cuts and trims wood, plastic, plasterboard, non-ferrous metal and fasteners such as nails and clips, and sands soft wall tiles and small surface areas - especially useful for edge work and flush cutting. The universal accessory interface accepts most brands of oscillating blades and sanding pads, and the tool-free quick-clamp lever lets you swap blades or sanding pads without a separate wrench. A built-in LED work light helps in poorly lit spaces, and variable speed lets you match the speed to the material. This model is the twin-battery kit, supplied with 2 x 20V 2.0Ah lithium batteries and a 2A charger; the batteries are interchangeable across the WORX 20V POWERSHARE range.
