The WORX WU595.9 is the bare-tool version of the 20V MakerX mini rotary cutter. Its 38 mm self-sharpening circular blade cuts up to 6 mm deep, slicing cardboard, fabric, leather, carpet, rope, mesh and thin plastic sheet without crushing the material the way scissors do. At just 0.36 kg the tool is easy to control one-handed for long periods, and a two-stage lock-out switch means it only runs once the safety button is released - so it will not start by accident when set down. A cut-line indicator, edge guide and blade guard keep the cut straight and the exposed edge covered, and the blade can be replaced on its own once worn. This model is supplied as a bare tool: battery, charger and the MakerX Hub (switch adapter lead) are not included. A WORX 20V MakerX Hub and a 20V MAX battery are required for operation, so it suits users who already own the MakerX system.

The circular blade rolls through the workpiece rather than pinching it, cutting up to 6 mm deep in cardboard, fabric, leather, carpet, rope and mesh. The self-sharpening design keeps the edge keen in use, and the blade can be replaced separately.

Lock-out safety switch

Two-stage operation: release the lock-out button first, then squeeze the trigger. The tool will not start accidentally when put down, and the blade guard shields the cutting edge outside the cut.
