The WORX WU550.1 is a 20V cordless brushless jigsaw. Its brushless motor delivers 350-3500 strokes per minute and a long 26mm stroke, giving a maximum cutting capacity of 135mm in wood, 20mm in aluminium and 10mm in iron or steel plate. It suits straight, curved and bevel cutting in woodworking, renovation, metal fabrication and maintenance work. The 4+A intelligent speed control includes an A mode that starts slowly so the blade tracks the cut line accurately, then automatically increases speed under load so the cut does not stall. A 3-stage orbital (pendulum) action lets you match the swing to wood, aluminium or steel, balancing cutting speed against edge quality, and the base plate bevels to plus/minus 45 degrees. Square reciprocating rod technology provides a large contact area and strong resistance to flexing, while a precision-cast blade clamp and a counterweight matched to the rod keep the cut stable with low vibration. The saw also features an independently switched LED work light, a keyless quick-change blade system, a transparent blade guard, an aluminium base plate and a dust port for connecting a vacuum. Bare tool weight is approximately 2.1kg excluding the battery. This kit ships with 2 x 4.0Ah batteries and a 6A charger, and runs on the WORX 20V battery platform.
