The WORX WU387.9 is the bare-tool version of the WORX 20V professional brushless cordless rotary hammer. It combines a brushless motor with an SDS-Plus quick-change chuck, delivering 2.0 joules of single impact energy, a no-load speed of 0-1450rpm and an impact rate of up to 4700bpm. Three operating modes - rotary drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling - cover concrete drilling up to 22mm, steel up to 13mm and wood up to 28mm, with an optimal bit range of 6-10mm, making it suitable for installation work, plumbing and fire services, air-conditioning, CCTV and signage mounting. A 19.5mm large-bore cylinder and dual anti-oil-leak sealing keep the tool stable through long shifts, and the bare tool weighs just 2.1kg. This SKU is supplied as a bare tool: no battery and no charger are included, making it ideal for users already on the WORX 20V MAX KROSS PACK battery platform.

Features and Benefits

Brushless motor with 2.0J impact energy

A brushless motor paired with a 19.5mm large-bore hammering cylinder delivers 2.0 joules per blow and up to 4700bpm, drilling concrete up to 22mm in diameter. The brushless design removes carbon-brush wear for higher transmission efficiency and longer tool life.

Three modes with an SDS-Plus chuck

The function dial selects rotary drilling, hammer drilling or chiselling, while the SDS-Plus chuck allows tool-free bit changes. Drilling, hammer drilling into concrete and light chipping are all handled by one tool, with an optimal bit range of 6-10mm.

G-TEC gyroscopic anti-rotation protection with an electronic clutch cuts power the moment the bit binds, reducing wrist-twist injury risk.
Tile pulse mode for precise starts on tiles and ceramics with less edge chipping.
Variable-speed trigger with forward/reverse for controlled hole starting and easy bit withdrawal.
Dual anti-oil-leak sealing for a durable, well-sealed housing.
Ergonomic soft-grip handle with adjustable auxiliary handle and depth gauge position for less fatigue and controlled hole depth.
Runs on the WORX 20V MAX KROSS PACK battery platform, sharing batteries and chargers with other 20V tools in the range.
