The WORX WU385.9 is a 24mm brushless 3-mode rotary hammer on the WORX 20V lithium-ion platform, supplied as a bare tool. Driven by a brushless motor, it delivers 2.5 joules of impact energy, a rated no-load speed of 1000 rpm and a hammering rate of 0-5000 bpm, drilling up to 24mm in C30 concrete, 13mm in steel and 27mm in wood, with an optimum drilling range of 8-12mm. This mid-duty class makes it well suited to renovation, electrical and M&E installation work such as anchor holes, bracket fixing and conduit openings. The SDS quick-change chuck allows tool-free bit changes, while the mode selector offers hammer drilling, rotary drilling and chiselling, plus a chisel-angle adjustment setting so drilling and light chipping are handled by one tool. Brushless motor with 2.5J impact energy

A brushless motor delivers 2.5 joules of single-impact energy at a rated no-load speed of 1000 rpm and a hammering rate of 0-5000 bpm, drilling up to 24mm in C30 concrete. The brushless design removes carbon-brush wear and replacement, runs more efficiently and cooler, and extends motor life.

Three modes and an SDS quick-change chuck

The mode selector provides hammer drilling, rotary drilling and chiselling, plus a chisel-angle adjustment position for setting flat-chisel orientation before locking it. The SDS quick-change chuck accepts common SDS-plus drill and chisel bits without tools, so drilling, hammer drilling into concrete and light chipping are all covered by one tool.

G-TEC gyroscopic anti-twist protection: senses abnormal body rotation when a bit jams or hits rebar and, together with electronic clutch release, cuts drive immediately to reduce the risk of wrist injury.
Pulse mode: starts holes in brittle materials such as tiles and marble with pulsed impacts to reduce chipping and cracking.
Anti-vibration handle with soft-grip rubber for greater comfort during extended hammering work.
Just 2.3kg and 314 x 86 x 206mm, keeping overhead drilling and confined-space work manageable.
Compatible with the optional WORX WA1603 PURE FORCE integrated dust box for low-dust indoor drilling (sold separately, not included).
20V lithium-ion platform: batteries and chargers are shared across the WORX 20V range.
