The WORX WU380S.9 is a brushless 2-mode rotary hammer on the 20V cordless platform. Its compact body delivers 1.7 joules of single-impact energy, a 0-1700 rpm no-load speed and an impact rate of up to 0-5300 bpm, drilling up to 20mm in concrete, 13mm in steel and 20mm in wood - well suited to installation work, renovation and maintenance, and fixing equipment. The SDS-plus quick-change chuck accepts standard SDS-plus round-shank bits and lets you swap bits by hand without a chuck key. A function selector switches between hammer drilling for brick and concrete and rotary-only drilling for metal and timber. The tool also offers an electronic pulse mode: with the selector in hammer mode, press the tile button and half-squeeze the trigger to start holes in ceramic tile without changing bits, reducing the risk of cracking. The brushless motor removes brush wear for higher efficiency, lower heat and more holes per charge, with less maintenance than a brushed equivalent.
This is the bare-tool version - the tool only. No battery and no charger are included, making it a cost-effective way to add a rotary hammer if you already own WORX 20V KROSS PACK batteries.
The function selector offers hammer drilling and rotary-only drilling. Hammer mode combines rotation with pneumatic impact for fast, low-effort holes in brick and concrete; rotary-only mode switches the impact off for steel and timber, and for more controlled pilot holes.
Set the selector to hammer mode, press the tile button and half-squeeze the trigger to engage the electronic pulse mode. You can start holes in ceramic tile without swapping bits, which lowers the chance of cracking. Confirm the pulse indicator is lit and control the drilling speed to suit the material.
The industry-standard SDS-plus interface takes common round-shank bits: push to lock, pull the collar to release. Bit changes need no tools, which helps when working overhead or in tight spaces.
