The WORX WU271.9 is a high-torque brushless cordless impact wrench on the 20V KROSS PACK lithium platform, built for steel-structure and transmission-tower assembly, M&E installation, automotive servicing and heavy equipment work where large fastening and breakaway torque is required. Its brushless motor and MegaForce constant-torque control deliver three forward torque settings up to 1000 N·m and hold output steady even as the battery runs low. The 12.7mm (1/2") square drive accepts standard impact sockets and handles M10-M24 standard bolts and M10-M18 high-tensile bolts, while the 2.1 kg weight and 210mm length keep the tool manageable in confined spaces and over long shifts. This is the bare-tool version: no battery and no charger are included, making it the cost-effective way to add a wrench if you already own WORX 20V KROSS PACK batteries.

Large-diameter brushless motor with MegaForce constant torque

A large-diameter brushless motor paired with an optimally sized hammer delivers up to 1000 N·m of forward torque, handling stubborn and corroded M10-M18 fasteners. MegaForce constant-torque control boosts current intelligently at low charge so torque output stays close to full-charge performance, avoiding re-tightening at the end of a pack.

Hall-effect sensing

The motor uses Hall-effect sensing that resists current fluctuation and magnetic interference, suiting live maintenance work on power grids and rail transit.

AI bolt modes

Forward auto-stop prevents over-tightening for precision work such as automotive servicing and avoids marring wheel hubs. Reverse auto-stop keeps nuts from dropping during work at height on towers. Reverse slow-down stops nuts flying off long threaded rods.

Three speeds and a fall-prevention lanyard ring

Three torque and speed settings can be matched to the fastener, balancing runtime against power. A high-strength, corrosion-resistant metal ring on top of the housing accepts a safety lanyard to reduce drop risk during work at height.
