The WORX WU138.9 is the bare-tool version of the WU138 12V cordless brushless hydraulic (oil-pulse) impact driver. Instead of the metal-on-metal hammering used by a conventional impact driver, torque is transmitted through hydraulic oil, which absorbs much of the impact noise and keeps operating sound at roughly 75 dB - low enough for night-time maintenance, retail, office and occupied-residential fit-out work. A high-output brushless motor delivers up to 50 N·m of torque across three speed and torque settings (0-15 / 30 / 50 N·m), driving machine screws from M4 to M8 and standard bolts from M5 to M8. The 119 mm ultra-short head and 0.9 kg bare weight let the tool reach into cabinets, enclosures, ceilings and service risers. This model is supplied as a bare tool - no battery and no charger - for users who already own the WORX 12V lithium-ion platform.

Hydraulic drive - about 75 dB operating noise

Hydraulic oil carries the torque between the motor and the output shaft. Lubricated, angled impact faces shorten the impact duration and contact area while the oil absorbs part of the impact noise, holding the working sound level at around 75 dB instead of the sharp metallic clatter of a conventional impact driver.

Brushless motor with 3-stage control and auto-stop

The compact, maintenance-free brushless motor offers three speed and torque stages (0-1000 / 2000 / 3000 rpm and 0-15 / 30 / 50 N·m) plus an auto-stop mode, so the setting can be matched to the fastener size and the base material without over-driving or stripping the screw.

119 mm ultra-short head and 0.9 kg bare weight for confined-space and overhead work.
6.35 mm (1/4 in) hex SDS quick-change chuck - one-handed bit changes, accepts single- and double-ended bits.
Shadow-free LED ring light with three brightness levels for dark working areas.
Up to 50 N·m torque; drives M4-M8 machine screws and M5-M8 standard bolts.
Soft silicone anti-scald sleeve and over-moulded grip for balanced, comfortable handling and workpiece protection.
