FPSFlexible PaymentBank TransferThe RYOBI 9903F is a surface-mounted overhead door closer from Japanese manufacturer RYOBI. It is a size 3 closer from the RYOBI 9903 series, rated for single-swing doors up to 65 kg and up to 965 mm wide. Full hydraulic 2-speed control adjusts the closing speed and the latching speed separately, so the door returns smoothly and latches gently, without slamming. The high-strength die-cast aluminium body is tested to 500,000 cycles and fits both left- and right-hand doors. It suits interior timber, aluminium and metal doors in homes, offices, shops and corridors.
The closer hydraulically controls the whole opening and closing cycle. The closing-speed valve governs the swing from fully open to about 10°, and the latching-speed valve governs the final 10° so the latch engages without slamming. Each valve is adjusted independently with a screwdriver.
The closer body mounts on the pull side of the door and the arm shoe on the frame. Position it for the required maximum opening: for 120°, the arm shoe sits 267 mm and the body 166 mm from the hinge centre line; for 180°, 199 mm and 98 mm. Always follow the factory mounting template.
The body measures 165 mm long and 64.5 mm deep, paired with a 240 mm standard arm set. It is made from high-strength die-cast aluminium with a precision-machined rack-and-pinion mechanism, and is tested to 500,000 cycles. It is non-handed, so one model fits left- and right-hand doors.
Before ordering, check that the door weighs no more than 65 kg and is no wider than 965 mm. Heavier or wider doors need a larger closer size. If the door must stay open, choose a model with a hold-open function.
