The Makita HB350 is a corded magnetic drill that clamps to steel with an electromagnetic base, combining magnetic base, drill stand and drill motor in one unit for on-site drilling in structural steel, plate and sections. It drills steel up to 35 mm in diameter and 50 mm deep, with a 1,050W motor delivering 850 rpm no-load speed. The base develops 8,000 N of magnetic clamping force, and a dovetail slide with a spindle coolant system keeps the feed smooth and the hole accurate. At 11.5 kg net it stays portable and workable in tight or elevated positions.
