The Makita GD002GZ is a 40Vmax XGT cordless die grinder powered by a BL brushless motor and the XGT high output Li-ion battery platform. A speed control dial sets the no load speed anywhere from 7,000 to 29,000 min⁻¹, covering deburring, grinding, finish polishing and the removal of paint and rust. It takes collets up to 8 mm and accepts wheel points up to 32 mm or cut-off wheels up to 52 mm, with a shaft lock that lets you change top-mounted tools using only the supplied collet nut wrench. This is the body-only version: the battery and charger are not included.

Constant speed control maintains rotation speed under load.
Soft start and electric brake for smooth start-up and fast stopping.
Anti-restart function prevents unintended start-up when a battery is inserted.
XPT (Extreme Protection Technology) for improved dust and drip resistance.
