The Makita DDG461Z is a cordless earth auger powered by two 18V LXT batteries in series (18V x2, 36V), driven by a BL brushless motor with Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT). The auger bit attaches directly to the spindle, and the mechanical 2-speed gearing delivers 0 - 1,400 min⁻¹ on high and 0 - 350 min⁻¹ on low with up to 136 N·m of torque, boring up to 200 mm in sandy soil. This is the body-only version: battery, charger and auger bit are not included.
