Cable Shears 225mm

The KNIPEX StepCut® XL Cable Shears, model 95 11 225, are 225 mm (9") heavy-duty shears designed for cutting multi-stranded cables in industrial plants and residential service entrances. Featuring a high-leverage bolted joint, long handles and optimised cutting edges, they cut noticeably easier than compact cable shears. They can cut solid copper or aluminium cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm² and fine-stranded cables up to 120 mm². The dual cutting areas include a stepped cutting edge that holds small and larger cables close to the joint, and a front cutting edge that cuts very large cables step by step. The cutting edges are additionally laser-hardened to approx. 56 HRC. The plastic-coated handles provide a comfortable grip, and a pinch guard prevents finger injuries. Suitable for one- or two-handed operation. Not suitable for steel-reinforced cables such as ACSR.
