Product Description
Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is the first single-component water-based wood glue proven waterproof. The waterproof formulation meets ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specifications and offers superior bond strength, a longer open assembly time and lower application temperature.Titebond III is non-toxic, solvent-free and cleans up with water – making it safer to use than traditional waterproof wood glues. It provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). The ultimate wood glue – for interior and exterior applications.
Application Temperature: 47°F and above Open Assembly Time: 8-10 minutes (70°F./50% RH) Set Time: 20-25 minutes (70°F./50% RH) Minimum Spread: Approximately 6 mils or 250 sq. ft. per gallon Required Clamp Pressure: Sufficient to bring joints tightly together (typically 100-150 psi for softwoods, 125-175 psi for medium woods, and 175-250 psi for hardwoods) Application Method: Plastic bottle for fine applications; glue can also be applied with a roller spreader or brush. Cleanup: Damp cloth while glue is wet. Scrape and sand dried excess. Limitations: Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue is not intended for continuous submersion or below waterline applications. Not for structural or load-bearing applications. Use when temperature, glue and materials are above 45°F. Store product below 75°F. Storage above this temperature may cause the product to thicken and shorten its usable shelf life. If thickening occurs, vigorously shake the bottle by striking it firmly on a hard surface until the product returns to its normal consistency. Due to its low pH, the product may cause corrosion on metal surfaces, testing the product before use may cause rust/corrosion. Due to variations in wood surfaces, testing for adhesion is a good idea.
