The OASE BioSmart 18000 (Model: 56776) is a high-performance ecological filter designed for homeowners and professionals aiming to create natural water features. This flow-through filter combines mechanical, biological, and powerful ultraviolet (UVC) technology to ensure crystal-clear pond water. Its core advantages lie in ease of maintenance and excellent ecological performance. Equipped with a dedicated cleaning handle and a bottom drain valve, it simplifies daily cleaning routines while ensuring fish-friendly operation through a special water supply method for additional oxygen enrichment. The BioSmart 18000 is optimized for perfect synergy with OASE AquaMax filter pumps and watercourse pumps. Its housing design allows for partial burial (up to one-third of its height), facilitating integration into the landscape, making it an ideal water quality management solution for garden ponds, koi ponds, and swimming ponds, offering reliable and flexible entry-level filtration performance.
The BioSmart 18000 ensures clean water through the combination of mechanical/biological cleaning and effective UVC technology (requires BioSmart UVC 16000). The filter media includes 2 blue sponges, 1 red sponge, and 1 green sponge, providing multi-stage filtration. Its inlet is compatible with 25/32/38 mm (1", 1 ¼", 1 ½") connectors, the outlet uses DN 75 standard, and the sludge discharge is DN 50, ensuring perfect compatibility with OASE pumps. With a maximum processing flow rate of up to 5500 l/h, it is suitable for general garden ponds up to 18.0 cubic meters, or for the demanding water quality requirements of koi ponds up to 4.5 cubic meters.
