What is a Green Card?
The Green Card, officially called the "Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate," is required for all workers employed in the construction and container handling industries. This regulation has been in effect since May 1, 2001. Since that date, only those who have completed basic safety training and hold a valid certificate (the "Green Card") can accept such work.
